The Stable Cottage is situated in the quiet countryside approximately 2 miles from the attractive village of Woodchurch and is surrounded by 2½ acres of garden and paddocks. The Cottage enjoys beautiful views across open farmland. It has character and charm with oak beams and old stripped pine. Sheep graze in the paddocks and chickens wander around freely. Have fresh eggs for breakfast! Enjoy afternoon tea in one of the two the summerhouses.

The cottage can be booked directly with the owner. This means that rental  prices are kept low and represent excellent value. 

 

BEAUTIFUL LOCATION

The cottage is ideally located for visiting numerous National Trust Properties and Gardens or for a trip to Tenterden with its steam railway. Bodiam, Dover and Leeds castles and the ancient town of Rye, as well as the cathedral city of Canterbury are easily visited from this location. The South of England Rare breeds Centre is within walking distance. It is only a short drive to sandy beaches and to the bird sanctuaries at Dungeness and Rye harbour.

'Shop till you drop' at the McArthur Glenn Designer Outlet only 5 miles away in Ashford. 

Numerous tracks and footpaths in the immediate area offer visitors the opportunity to explore the area on foot or by bicycle.

There are many historic castles and gardens  including 11 National Trust properties within 25 miles of The Stable Cottage in Kent. They are all worth a visit.

 

LOCATION

The Stable Cottage is situated in an idyllic, rural location about 2 miles from the attractive village of Woodchburch, with its 13th Century Church, its Smock Windmill, its Museum and its Village Green. The immediate area offers opportunities for many interesting walks through woodlands and along by-ways. The cottage is ideally located for trips to the ancient town of Rye, to the Cathedral City of Canterbury, to the County Town of Maidstone with its famous Leeds Castle.  Tenterden Town, 'the Jewel of the Weald, is well worth a visit. Take a ride on the Tenterden steam railway.  

There are numerous National Trust Properties, Gardens and Castles to visit in the area and bird sanctuaries at Dungeness and Rye harbour. The South of England Rare Breeds Centre is within easy walking distance.

DIRECTIONS

Take the M20 towards Ashford.

Leave M20 at Junction 10 and follow the signs to the A2070 from the roundabout. Once on the A2070 continue for about 6 miles crossing one small roundabout and then leave at the exit posted to Kingsnorth.

At the top of the slope, turn right towards Kingsnorth and Ashford.

After about mile, at a wide crossroads, turn left towards Woodchurch.

After exactly 2 miles, as you leave the Z-bend you will find Coldblow Lodge on your right.

If you have a Sat nav the post code is TN263PH and you may wish to leave the M20 at Junction 9 and follow the instructions.
